Privacy Policy
Version 2026-07-23 · Last updated 2026-08-06 · Effective date: pending final approval
This Privacy Policy explains how Sentifyx ("Sentifyx," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, or use our membership research platform, including SPVS (Sentiment Performance Validation System) research signals, the Morning Brief, and related features (the "Services").
A note on what Sentifyx is. Sentifyx is a research and publishing venture. It is not a broker-dealer, is not itself a registered investment adviser, and does not manage individual client accounts. This Policy governs data collected through Sentifyx's own Services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly. Account information: email address, password (held by our authentication provider in hashed form), display name, and security metadata such as two-factor enrollment and Terms acceptance. Profile and preference data: industry, region, and investment-style preferences, watchlist selections, tags, and notes. Content you submit: positions and theses you enter, journal entries, questions to research features (chat), and messages you send through the contact form. If you subscribe to a paid membership, payment-card details and billing address are collected and stored by our payment processor, Stripe — not by Sentifyx; we retain only subscription status and payment-confirmation records.
Information collected automatically. Usage data through our first-party, consent-gated usage analytics (no third-party analytics service): events such as pages viewed and features used, recorded against a random identifier — these analytics events do not store your IP address or browser fingerprint, and they run only with your consent. Separately, standard server and hosting logs (maintained by our hosting provider) may record IP address, browser type, and request metadata for security and reliability. Cookies and local storage are described in Section 5.
Information from third parties. Public and licensed market data — prices, volumes, short interest, filings — describes securities and markets, not you personally. Public social and sentiment data is processed in aggregate to compute sentiment signals; we do not use it to build profiles of individual social-media users, and social-media handles appearing in raw source data are not connected to your Sentifyx account. From our payment processor we receive payment confirmations, not full card numbers.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide, maintain, and personalize the Services, including tailoring research views to your stated preferences;
- process membership sign-ups, trials, renewals, and payments;
- operate authentication, password reset, and security controls, including two-factor authentication;
- improve the SPVS research process using aggregated or de-identified engagement data;
- communicate with you about your account and membership, and — only where you have opted in — product updates or marketing;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use information collected through the Services to provide individualized investment advice, and nothing in this Policy should be read as describing an advisory relationship.
3. AI and data processing by service providers
SPVS research signals, the Morning Brief, and certain analysis features are generated with the assistance of third-party artificial-intelligence service providers — currently Anthropic (Claude). When you use AI-assisted features, relevant content (for example, a question you ask, or the portfolio data needed to answer it) is transmitted to and processed by these providers under their API data-handling terms. We send the minimum content required to generate the response. The provider list above was last reviewed 2026-08-06; providers may change over time, and this section will be updated when they do.
4. How we share information
Service providers that perform services on our behalf:
- Vercel — Application hosting
- Supabase — Database and authentication
- Anthropic — AI processing (Claude)
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Resend — Email delivery
Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sentifyx, our members, or others. Business transfers: if Sentifyx is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections. With your consent: we may share information for other purposes with your consent.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not share your individual watchlists, positions, or submitted content with other members. If aggregated member statistics are ever shown, they will be de-identified and subject to minimum aggregation thresholds designed to prevent re-identification.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in (authentication session cookies), remember interface preferences, and — only with your consent — record first-party usage analytics. There is no third-party analytics or advertising tag on the Services. Essential cookies are required for sign-in and cannot be disabled; analytics consent can be declined or withdrawn via the analytics notice, and you can also control cookies through your browser settings (disabling essential cookies will prevent sign-in).
6. Data security
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction: encryption of data in transit, row-level access controls so each account can read only its own records, and two-factor authentication (TOTP), which is required by default on member accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify affected members and any applicable regulators as required by law.
7. Data retention
We retain account and membership information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Payment records are retained by our payment processor under its own obligations. Unsubscribe and suppression records are kept so opt-outs stay honored. Chat threads you delete are removed along with their messages. Aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you may be retained for research and model-improvement purposes.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. What you can do today:
- review and update account and preference information directly in Settings;
- opt out of marketing email via the unsubscribe link in any such email — transactional and account messages continue;
- export your chat conversations from within the app;
- request account deletion, data export, or any other privacy right through our contact form — we respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and some information may be retained as described in Section 7.
9. Children's privacy
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if we learn that we have, we will take steps to delete it.
10. International users
Sentifyx is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your home jurisdiction. This Policy does not claim compliance with any specific international privacy regime; jurisdiction-specific notices will be added if and when the Services are offered into jurisdictions that require them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify members by email or through a notice on the Services before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date above indicates the most recent revision.

13. Relationship to investment advisory services
Sentifyx is a research and publishing venture. SPVS, the Morning Brief, membership content, and all other Sentifyx research and commentary are original research published for general, informational, and educational purposes only. They do not constitute individualized investment advice and are not a product or service of McCurdy, Gillion & Associates, LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser. Use of the Services, including any personal information you provide, does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and Sentifyx or McCurdy, Gillion & Associates, LLC.
